Perkembangan Regulasi Kripto di Indonesia
Hingga tahun 2017 Aset kripto mulai populer di Indonesia, namun belum ada regulator yang melakukan pengaturan dan pengawasan aset kripto pada saat itu.
Pada Tahun 2018, Menteri Perdagangan mengeluarkan Peraturan Menteri Perdagangan Nomor 99 Tahun 2018 tentang Kebijakan Umum Penyelenggaraan Perdagangan Berjangka Aset Kripto (Crypto Asset) yang menyatakan bahwa Aset kripto ditetapkan sebagai subjek kontrak berjangka yang diperdagangankan di Bursa Berjangka serta pembinaan, pengembangan dan pengawasan perdagangan aset kripto di Bursa berjangka dilakukan oleh Kepala Badan pengawas Perdagangan berjangka Komoditi.
Kemudian di Tahun 2019, Bappebti mengeluarkan peraturan Bappebti Nomor 5 Tahun 2019 dan Peraturan Bappebti Nomor 9 Tahun 2019
Transaksi aset kripto dapat dilakukan di 35 pedagangan aset kripto yang saat ini ada di Indonesia.
Pada 17 Juli 2023, Kepala Bappebti melalui keputusan nomor 01/BAPPEBTI/SP-BBAK/07/2023 memberikan persetujuan sebagai Bursa Berjangka Aset Kripto kepada PT Bursa Komoditi Nusantara(BKN) yang sekarang ini populer dengan sebutan CFX. diiringi kemudian dengan pembentukan Tennet Depository dan Indonesia Custodian Coin.
